CPC (Cost Per Click)

What you pay for a single ad click, a diagnostic rather than a goal.

In Depth

Cost per click, or CPC, is the amount you pay each time someone clicks your ad.

CPC is a useful diagnostic for spotting expensive keywords or audiences, but it is a poor goal. A low CPC with no funded accounts is worse than a higher one that converts. In financial marketing, CPC informs optimization; the funded account is what you optimize toward.
