CPA (Cost Per Acquisition)

The cost to achieve one defined conversion, whatever you have set that conversion to be.

In Depth

Cost per acquisition, or CPA, is what you pay for one conversion. The conversion can be a lead, a deposit, a funded account, or a sale, depending on what you define.

The key in financial marketing is defining CPA against the right event. A CPA measured to form fills looks cheap and means little; a CPA measured to the funded account reflects reality. Always know which conversion your CPA is counting.
