Introducing Broker (IB)

A partner who refers clients to a broker in exchange for commission, a core acquisition channel in forex.

In Depth

An introducing broker, or IB, is a partner or affiliate who refers traders to a broker and earns commission on the resulting activity. IBs range from individuals to large networks.

In forex and CFD marketing, the IB channel is the one that compounds and survives platform bans. Brokers that dominate acquisition run IB as a core business unit, not an afterthought, because it reduces dependence on paid channels that can be restricted overnight.
